About Our PTA
PTA’s mission is to make EVERY child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for ALL children. Here at Ladera, we value this mission and make it our PTAs goal to help do our part to ensure its success. As such, Ladera STARS Academy PTA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization following specific rules governing its activities at the local, state, and national level.
Our PTA is very active in planning and sponsoring multiple events each school year. Many events sponsored are non-fundraising school-wide and/or family fun events in order to help foster an engaging, positive, and loving sense of school community for ALL students and their families. These events happen throughout the school year and are for the whole community to enjoy.
We also host fundraising events throughout the year in order to help meet our goals in providing all we can for our amazing school and its students. Some examples of how funds are used is; assisting in purchasing playground and/or school equipment, helping to fund school beautification projects, funding field trips and/or other educational opportunities. Over the years we have also chosen to allocate funds toward paying for specialist programs so that they are not discontinued due to lack of funding (such as art, music, P.E., technology, etc). Putting a priority on supporting these vital programs for students at Ladera is important so that they can continue to be able to reap the benefits and resources such programs open up to them.
With your support, we can continue to help make a successful and enriching school year for ALL of our children! The Ladera PTA welcomes you and extends a personal invitation to you to join us in making a difference in the lives of our children by becoming a member, donating, and/or volunteering. PTA membership is only $10, and anyone can join! Joining the PTA, donating, or volunteering are all optional. However you choose to PTA, we thank you in advance for your support!
