What Does our PTA do?

Here is a sampling of the many Ladera PTA sponsored activities that happen throughout the year:

Free Fun Family Events

  • Hosts the Back to School Social to welcome back dragon families the night before school starts, as well as a Welcome Back Grown-ups Coffee on the first day of school.
  • Hosts a Welcome Back staff breakfast & luncheon at the start of every school year
  • Family movie nights ( Fall & Spring). Also hosts a end of school movie day for all students
  • Open House in May

Community Service

  • Hosts a Food Drive in Fall
  • Hosts a Toy Donation Drive in Winter

Fundraising

Student/School Programs

  • Hosts Reflections program
  • Hosts Red Ribbon Week
  • Organizes the Fall Festival aka "the Big Boo"
  • Helps fund specialist programs/teachers like Garden, Creation Rotation, MakerSpace, & Music for TK & K (district funds music for grades 1-5)
  • Helps host Unity Day & Kindness Week
  • Organizes annual Science Fair
  • Organizes Chalk Art Festival
  • Hosts yearly Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week
  • Helps to fun many Assemblies - fun & educational throughout the year
  • Helps fund classroom field trips
  • Helps fund Library programs, books and supplies & assists with the school book fairs
  • Helps fund technology updates and improvements                                               
  • Contributes to playground, school, and garden updates and improvements
